About the Game

Space Nomads is an open-ended space RPG where you begin with little more than a ship, a crew and a shared ambition. Explore star systems, hire crew members, trade, fight, complete contracts, and create your own path across a living galaxy. Become a trader, bounty hunter, explorer, salvager, mercenary, or something in between.

NPCs have their own tasks, whether it be mining the nearest asteroid cluster, patrolling the system, or fighting each other. Events will randomly take place in Space Nomads, such as dogfights, it's your decision to get involved or not.

The galaxy of Space Nomads is procedurally generated, everything from the galaxy itself, to the ships. The procedural generation doesn't tell you how to play, it builds the universe and leaves the choices to you.

You choose who you fly with. Crew have personality traits and provide buffs for your ship. You can find crew in space stations or escape pods. Crew write in their journal, responding to events in the world. Perhaps you targeted an innocent civilian ship? Your crew might have something to say about that.

You choose what kind of ship you want. Find components and build a sleek fighter, or... Build something that looks like it's about to fall apart. Attach weapons, utility devices and decide what your ship is capable of.

Want to become a miner? Trader? Or just a menace to the galaxy? You decide how to create your fortune and reputation.
