About the Game

Explore a decrepit and cultist-infested estate, uncover your secret ties to the cult within, and collect awakened souls to conquer an ancient god looking to feast on your essence. Only one hour remains until the god is released at midnight!

World Features

Time is your enemy in Soul Essence. As midnight approaches, the cultists become more corrupt and erratic from the divine energy in the air that is rapidly spreading across the estate. The atmosphere will thicken making it harder to see, and the estate will become a hellish and terrifying environment. Each run offers a unique experience:

  • Random enemy encounters made interesting by the in-game clock. New challenges and foes will appear around the estate as the clock nears midnight.

  • Randomized weapons and item locations.

  • Unique and special world events randomly selected each run.

The clock feature adds an extra layer of uniqueness and unpredictability to the randomization in Soul Essence creating a unique, rich, and engaging environments that feels truly alive.

Multiple ways to play

How you spend the hour is entirely up to you. Explore the deepest depths of the estate to collect as many useful items, awakened souls and ancient artifacts as you can before midnight or go directly into the god's territory to challenge it. Hold your ground or prevent the God's release all together.
