About the Game

Soul is a dark 2D metroidvania set in a Japanese techno-fantasy world where science, chi energy, and demons exist side by side.

You play as a scientist searching for a path to immortality, only to become caught in a catastrophe that disrupts the balance between the human world and the demon world. Time begins to fracture, people grow older and younger, and demons lose their minds. To uncover what happened, you will explore a futuristic city, unlock new abilities, return to familiar places, and push deeper into dangerous locations.

The core feature of the game is death as part of exploration. When your body dies, it remains in the human world, while your soul enters the spirit world. In this state, you can discover hidden paths, bypass obstacles, and reach places that were previously inaccessible. But the risk becomes greater: if your soul is destroyed, your journey begins again.

The game features a seamless world, tense combat, character progression, and a story that changes with each playthrough. Three sequential endings gradually reveal new meaning behind the events and lead the hero from the pursuit of immortality to a choice that will determine the balance of the entire world.
