8 itemsAbout the Game
A music-based platformer where the platforms are your own musical loops! Run and jump through puzzling platforming challenges while adding your own notes to the game's original soundtrack to create a path to reach the end!
Platforming in SongRunner is always precise, sometimes puzzly, and extremely expressive. Your own solution to levels will make a unique melody that blends seamlessly with the completely original soundtrack! SongRunner is inspired by other hard-but-fair platformers like Celeste, Super Meat Boy, and N++.
SongRunner features fully rebindable controls, and USB Midi devices are also supported! Rebind all of the inputs to whatever you're most comfortable with. No musical knowledge is necessary to play SongRunner.
Adventure through 10+ worlds, each with its own unique soundtrack, instrument, mechanics, and secrets! You'll contend with a variety of rhythmic hazards, platforming puzzles, and a few other surprises I won't spoil here.
SongRunner was originally made for the 2025 Game Maker's Toolkit Game Jam and was featured as one of 20 favorites in the official GMTK results.
