About the Game

"My gaze locks onto the forever upwards gaping maw of the abyss. God damn the sun, for it carelessly shines ever brighter than my dwindling hope of escaping this cancer of a labyrinth. It grows, it breathes, slowly. I fear the descent, for I know, Something Wicked Lies Beneath."

Something Wicked Lies Beneath is a roguelite horror game, where you mysteriously wake up after dying in the metal halls of.... somewhere.

Explore the randomized labyrinth, get a feel of your sorroundings before engaging with your objectives.

Retrieve the battery and drag it to the starting room. Beware, once this is done, there is no going back. You will be under constant pressure by your need to manage your oxygen, heartrate, and having to manually vent CO2.

Complete your listed randomized objectives. By now, the constant pressure surges as the labyrinth will begin playing mind games on you while you are harassed by the denizens from below.

Dying in this labyrinth is a garuntee, whether its from oxygen loss, encounter with an enemy, or other causes, It's just a matter of if you've completed the objectives that determines your "victory".

Once you die, you lose your progress ( unless you "won" ), repeat it over and over and over again.
Don't get too comfortable, there may be unexpected variations between runs.
