About the Game

CLASSIC ACTION ADVENTURE RPG

A classic hack-and-slash action RPG. Even without arms, Irene is able to defend herself using her prosthetic arms. The combat is as simple as it gets: time your movements properly and attack when you see an opening.

YOUR JOURNEY

Explore a world where the "Snowbound" caused emotions to manifest into physical beings, forever changing the landscape of the land of Majoolah.

You play as Irene, an armless girl who wakes up from a shallow grave. Talk with townsfolk, hunt monsters called "Puca," gather resources, cut down trees, choose your own path through the story, or spend your entire life in the town of Miren. Whatever path you take will have consequences for the world and the people around you.

YOUR GOAL

With no recollection of your past other than the fact that you are armless, it's time to uncover why you ended up in a shallow grave. The answers seem to point north, but whether you choose to remember is entirely up to you.

A MIX OF VARIOUS ART STYLES

While exploring and fighting in pixel art, you may encounter cutscenes presented in retro PS1-style graphics or near-photorealistic visuals to emphasize Irene's mental state.

Whenever the art style changes in a particular area, it may be a sign that the Snowbound has finally reached it.

HAND-DRAWN PIXEL ART MAPS

Explore beautiful hand-drawn pixel art maps, vast landscapes filled with mystery and discovery.

HUNGER SYSTEM

Throughout your journey, you will experience hunger unlike anyone else. Stay hungry for too long, and you will eventually starve to death. Find food by purchasing it from shopkeepers or looting it from defeated enemies.

With every step you take toward the north, where the Snowbound originated, food becomes scarcer and harder to find. Plan your journey carefully.

SOUNDTRACK

The game features an original soundtrack created by talented artists. From the main menu to the ending, every track is designed to enhance the atmosphere and emotions of each area.

IRENE: HOMECOMING REIMAGINED

This game is a full reimagining of our previous RPG Maker game jam submission, Irene: Homecoming. While some story elements remain connected, the entire premise has been transformed into a more mysterious and surreal experience.
