About the Game

Slitherise is a 2D physics-based action game where you guide a mysterious, snake-like creature to ascend through a dark, deep world.

There are no save points — this game inherits the spirit of classic climbing games. Prepare yourself and rise to the challenge. (First-time playthrough: approximately 2+ hours)

Using only intuitive mouse controls, the snake’s movement feels unique, offering a “simple yet profoundly deep” gameplay experience.

Throughout the journey, various gimmicks are designed to take full advantage of the snake's movement. Collect hidden fragments scattered across stages to gradually uncover the mysteries of this strange world.

Slitherise is a fresh and memorable experience — simple to control, but truly challenging to master.

Feature 1: Unique mouse-only controls

In Slitherise, you control the snake using only the mouse.

Click and hold to make the snake move toward the cursor — that's all you need to start playing.

However, in this world, there’s a catch: the snake can barely move unless its body is touching the ground or walls.

Minimal controls combined with realistic physics create a gameplay experience that is both simple and profoundly deep.

Feature 2: Various gimmicks and obstacles

The stages are packed with creative gimmicks that take full advantage of the snake's unique movement.

• Moving lifts

• Levers and handles that can be pulled by wrapping around them

• Pressure switches

• Zero-gravity lights

• Blast jumps triggered by explosions

Feature 3: A bizarre and dark world & story

Minimalistic visuals — black silhouettes against single-colored backgrounds — create a strange, dark atmosphere.

The game is set inside a massive, deep hole, scattered with wing-like fragments.
Each fragment unlocks a short pixel-art story animation.

By gathering these fragments, you'll gradually piece together the secrets of the world and discover why the snake is desperately trying to ascend.
