About the Game

SkyCore is a 2D Souls-like platformer featuring some of the finest pixel-art environments in the genre, meticulously designed levels and boss battles, a deep combat system, and a compelling narrative. Its standout features include the unique Weapon Grapple, Throw & Burst mechanics, the Wheel Talent system, and the Warped Seed system.

1. Weapon Grapple
During combat, after depleting a specific enemy's posture bar, they will enter an extended stagger state, presenting you with two choices: "Execute" or "Weapon Grapple."
Choosing "Weapon Grapple" allows your character to kick the enemy's weapon to the ground, where you can then pick it up and wield it yourself. This is a key method for expanding your arsenal and obtaining rare weapons.
Once disarmed, the enemy is left weaponless, suffering a significant attack power reduction. This creates a major tactical advantage, especially against high-health elite foes.

2. Weapon Throw & Burst
Weapons in our game have durability. The moment a weapon's durability hits zero from use, it undergoes a "Weapon Burst," dealing high damage to all surrounding enemies.
By equipping specific rings and Bizarre Seeds, you can strategically chain multiple Weapon Bursts in succession (by quickly breaking several equipped weapons). This high-risk, high-reward tactic can overcome otherwise formidable enemies. Shattered weapons can be repaired later by the blacksmith for a cost.
Your character can also perform a Weapon Throw, hurling a currently equipped weapon as a powerful ranged attack to damage distant enemies.
This is particularly effective in scenarios with tricky terrain, allowing you to swiftly eliminate enemies holding positional advantages by bombarding them with thrown weapon

3. Wheel Talent System
We have deepened the strategic layer of the classic Souls-like stat leveling system. Upon leveling up, players allocate points to 8 core attributes on a talent wheel: Vitality, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity, Luck, Precision, Spirit, and Equip Load.
As these 8 core attributes improve, they enhance the 4 special ability nodes at the wheel's center. These grant your character practical bonuses such as increased healing potion capacity and greater HP restoration per use.

4. WarpedSeed System
After defeating bosses, you can use their cores to forge "Warped Seeds." These are active skills that provide a powerful, temporary effect when activated.
Activating a Warped Seed typically grants a special ability—such as increased damage, instantly retrieving all thrown weapons, accelerating weapon burst speed and power, and more—enriching gameplay and enabling diverse tactical builds.
However, powerful Warped Seeds often come with a trade-off, like causing gradual poison or accelerating weapon durability loss. Strategically choosing which Warped Seed to use based on your playstyle and enemy encounters is a crucial part of the game's tactical depth.
