About the Game

Silkdown is a local PvP, single screen, twin stick arena shooter with tactical elements.

You control a spider-like war machine that has some special abilities like:

  • Command troops - throw a beacon to attack a position or enemy, deactivate it to be guarded.

  • Weave web - place the deadly silk between the walls and trap your opponents.

Can you outmaneuver your friends on the battlefield?

FEATURES

  • 2 to 4 players in local multiplayer couch combat or online using Steam Remote Play or Parsec.

  • Focus on clear, tight and fast gameplay, but has handicap options to onboard new players.

  • Growing set of arenas, weapons, abilities and game modes.

  • Keyboard and mouse support (gamepad recommended).

  • Cursor mode for gamepads.

  • Rules and balancing customization.

NON-FEATURES

  • No built-in online multiplayer.

  • No single player mode (yet?).

NOTE

This is a passion project that I'm building mostly to experiment, play with my friends, and make some new ones.
I did not and do not expect this game to be financially viable but I do want to make a quality game and support it.

This means that no matter how bad the game sells I intend to add more stuff to it over time, but the cadence of those updates is not certain.
