About the Game

You blacked out on a research mission in 2089. You woke up 300 years later to a solar system reduced to a decaying, heavily armed graveyard. In Silent Orbits, explore the eerie ruins of a missing civilization. Scavenge derelict fleets, survive encounters with deadly security drones, and unravel the mystery of a forgotten civil war.

Did humanity wipe itself out, or did they escape?

Navigate the ruins of a post-cataclysmic universe. Use your ship to pierce the fog of war and uncover abandoned space stations, shattered outposts, and drifting derelicts.

The game features two separate map systems. The first allows for travel between large space sectors. The second allows you to explore each sector on a smaller scale, similar to the world maps in the first Fallout games (grid, fog of war, random encounters).

Immerse yourself in a mature, hard sci-fi interactive fiction. Engage with rich, atmospheric narrative, decode lost memory drives, and confront the mysteries of The Echo. Every item tells a story, and every choice carries weight. Solve puzzles, hack security terminals, and face the consequences of your decisions.

Your ship and your gear are the only things keeping you alive. Scavenge raw materials from asteroid fields and derelicts to unlock blueprints and craft vital upgrades. Manage your grid-based inventory, install heavy combat modules on the Raven, and optimize Molly's RPG stats to survive.

The UNSF Raven is a science vessel built on a modular foundation grid. 10 module slots can be equipped with different turrets, power generators, batteries, energy shields and more.

FEATURES:

  • Navigate 2D sector maps to discover abandoned outposts and derelict ships

  • Engage in well-paced branching narrative, often influenced by your stats and previous choices

  • Talk, negotiate and trade with strangers

  • Fight in turn-based space battles with your very much upgradable ship UNSF Raven

  • Loot defeated enemies

  • Talk to your ship

  • Craft new tools and modules for your ship with resources gained from exploration and battles

  • Uncover the mystery behind humankind’s exodus
