About the Game

SHADOW RUNNER

The signal breaks. No commands left — only the hum of something older. Your blade answers first.

SHADOW RUNNER is a fast, unforgiving action-roguelike about one runner, one katana, and a descent that doesn't let you back out.

Cut with intent

A combat system built for expression, not button-mashing:

  • Three-phase combos that flow into aerial dives and ground plunges

  • Dive-cancel and dash to rewrite your spacing mid-fight

  • Sub-weapons — drone, grenade, knife, disc, tether, skull — swap to fit the run

  • Hit-pause and slow-mo that make every clean kill land

No two runs the same

  • Curses — opt into penalties for stacked rewards; reshape the rules of a run

  • Loot & gear with affixes, set bonuses, and game-changing uniques

  • Upgrades & shrines drafted between waves

  • Challenge arenas behind sealed doors for the greedy

Descend

  • 12 chapters from the Corridor to the First Dark

  • 23 enemy types and 4 bosses — the Voidlord, the Sovereign, the Forge, the Eye

  • Endless mode — how deep can you go?

Style

Neon-soaked pixel carnage, hand-tuned game feel, and a fully procedural audio engine. One blade. No retreat.
