About the Game

Search for Sol is a sci-fi 4X in the tradition of Reach for the Stars, Master of Orion, and Star Traders.

The factions of humanity's children search for the secrets of Sol to escape their perfect metallic bodies. Control Sol for 50 years to ascend.

Search a strategic turn based map combined with tactical auto-battles.

Recover old technologies to counter-build enemy fleet compositions including kinetic, missile, railgun, and beam weapons and relevant defensive tech. Over 400 different visual hull combinations possible.

Fleets must continually adapt. The enemy will be constantly changing their fleet compositions to counter the last weaponry they encounter, making the usual "Deathball" strategy ineffective. Massive monolithic fleets will lose to smaller fleets with more diverse technology.

The galaxy has limited resources, so recycling technology is key to victory.

Each faction is adapted to certain types of worlds, one cyborg's trash is another's idyllic paradise.

Colonizing a sub-par planet may be worth it to deny your enemy a super colony.
