About the Game

Rune Caves: Eternal Echo is a hardcore pair-matching pressure puzzle set inside a dark cave of living runes.

You clear the board by matching two runes with the same identity — but the cave keeps adding pressure.

Pair the runes. Read the layers. Survive the Echoes.

Read the Layers

Each floor is built as a stacked rune board. Higher runes block lower runes, and some visible pieces may remain locked until another pair is cleared.

To survive, you must read the board before you click.

Survive the Guardian Echoes

Guardian Echoes move across the same screen as the rune board.

They are not decorations. They distract your eyes, intercept careless clicks, and create a second matching layer with its own rules. Runes match runes. Echoes match Echoes. Mixing the two costs you a mistake.

Memory, Timing, and Pressure

As you descend, the cave introduces new forms of pressure:

  • face-down runes that test memory;

  • blinking runes that test timing;

  • ambush pairs that reveal new pieces after specific clears;

  • limited mistakes on every floor;

  • late-game countdown pressure.

One Run. Twenty Floors.

The campaign is a 20-floor pressure run. A single loss ends the run.

Clear the campaign to unlock Endless Mode and push deeper into the cave.

Built for Puzzle Players Who Want Friction

Rune Caves is for players who enjoy compact, readable puzzle systems with real pressure:

  • board-reading;

  • sequencing;

  • precise clicking;

  • controlled risk;

  • replayable runs;

  • dark-fantasy atmosphere.
