About the Game

🦁 ROAR

YOU ARE NOT THE HUNTER

🌍 A Wildlife Paradise Hiding a Classified Experiment

ROAR is a cinematic first-person survival horror game set in 2022 within Kijani Nyota Private Conservancy, a remote wildlife reserve in northern Kenya once celebrated as a global model for lion conservation, advanced genetic research, and luxury eco-tourism.

Behind its pristine visitor centers, safari vehicles, veterinary laboratories, and polished conservation reports, the reserve concealed a far more dangerous truth.

🧬 PROJECT NEMEAN

A classified field experiment created to study:

  • Fear response

  • Predator decision-making

  • Coordinated hunting behavior

  • Neurological adaptation

  • Social learning in lions

📸 YOU ARE ADAM

You play as Adam, an independent wildlife photographer who arrives at Kijani Nyota after booking what appears to be an exclusive luxury safari experience.

But from the moment you arrive, something is wrong.

  • The lodge is nearly abandoned.

  • The radios are silent.

  • The maps do not match the terrain.

  • Entire sectors are missing.

  • And when night falls, the lions begin to move.

They do not attack blindly.

They watch.
They wait.
They surround.
They choose the perfect moment.

🦁 SURVIVAL IS THE ONLY OPTION

In ROAR, survival is not about fighting monsters.

It is about:

  • Reading the environment

  • Controlling panic

  • Managing stamina

  • Conserving flashlight batteries

  • Listening to the world around you

  • Understanding that every sound in the grass may be your final warning

There is no traditional health system.

If a lion catches you, you die.

📖 THE PUBLIC STORY

For years, Kijani Nyota operated as a respected conservation initiative dedicated to:

  • Protecting lions

  • Studying wildlife diseases

  • Supporting local communities

  • Reducing human-predator conflict

That was the public story.

The truth was something else entirely.

🧠 FEAR IS NOT REMOVED. FEAR IS REASSIGNED.

Project NEMEAN did not seek to create a mindless aggressive animal.

That would have been easy to provoke, easy to predict, and easy to contain.

Instead, NEMEAN pursued something far more dangerous:

  • A predator capable of patience

  • A predator that retains its intelligence

  • A predator that preserves its instincts

  • A predator that learns to ignore natural fear responses

  • A predator that reacts to specific environmental signals as commands

The first major subject was designated:

L-01 / ATLAS

After a fatal incident inside a supposedly secure test range, one sentence entered the archives:

“Subject did not charge blindly. Subject waited.”

That sentence became the foundation of everything that followed.

🎮 CORE GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS

ROAR is built around vulnerability, tension, and systemic survival.

You will need to:

  • Manage stamina carefully instead of running blindly

  • Use your flashlight without exposing yourself

  • Hide in tall grass, abandoned buildings, vehicles, and terrain shadows

  • Read animal behavior as environmental warning signs

  • Track footprints, blood stains, claw marks, and distant sounds

  • Explore abandoned lodges, ranger camps, veterinary facilities, watchtowers, and hidden laboratories

  • Uncover the truth behind Project NEMEAN

🦁 ADVANCED PREDATOR AI

The lions in ROAR are not conventional enemies.

They can:

  • Track sound and movement

  • Use darkness and tall grass to remain concealed

  • Approach from multiple directions

  • Retreat instead of attacking immediately

  • Wait until you are exhausted or exposed

  • Adapt to light, noise, terrain, and player behavior

Sometimes you will hear them before you see them.

Sometimes you will see nothing at all.
