About the Game

Your body ignites. A ferocious light tears through your veins, bursts from your skin, consumes the air around you. You control nothing. You understand nothing. All you know is that the world as you knew it has just ended—and that something powerful, instinctive, has awakened deep within you.

An adventure told through cards

Each card tells a fragment of your story. Pick, choose, and watch the consequences unfold. Each turn, cards are drawn face down—only their type and the title of their story are revealed to you, each one a promise or a threat hanging over you. Dialogue, Event, Location or Combat: each resolved card shapes the continuation of your story and influences the next cards that will be drawn. Your actions, your choices, your refusals—nothing is forgotten. The deck remembers.

Composing Incantations

Discover occult whispers and freely combine them to compose spells. Experiment and fill in your Book of Incantations. The occult whispers you will discover are the building blocks of a magical language that you assemble in the order you choose. Each combination produces a unique effect — offensive, curative, utilitarian — that you will only discover by pronouncing it. Experimentation is your teacher, and each newly revealed incantation is recorded in your Book of Incantations, a grimoire that grows with you.

Turn-Based Tactical Combat

Arrange your cards in strategic sequences that blend magic and physical actions to defeat your opponents. In combat, the mechanics come into full effect: you lay out a sequence of cards—whispers forming an incantation, or physical actions like a sword strike, a shield parry, or a healing potion—to compose your turn. The strategy lies in the arrangement, the timing, and the knowledge of your own spells.

The price of magic: the Darkism

Every power has its price. Each spell cast imbues your body with arcane energy. The more you use magic, the more it transforms you—and the closer you get to the critical threshold of Darkism.

To cross it is to tip over. Becoming a Darkifer: a blind beast, consumed by the sun's rays, capable of perceiving the souls of the living through all matter — as if the flesh became transparent, letting the inner light of each being filter through. As a Darkifer must feed on souls to survive. And if this state is not permanent, the path back is strewn with darkness.

You will need to learn to restrain your magic, to let the magical impregnation subside, to choose when to shine and when to hold back. Because the temptation is constant: one more spell could turn the tide of the fight, but it could also turn you over.
