THE MOUNTAIN IS THE RACETRACK
RIDGERUNNERS is a first-person speedrunning game about building absurd momentum across enormous procedural mountains. Ski down steep slopes, strafe-jump across ridgelines, fire rockets at your feet, and use your jetpack to turn a bad landing into a new route.
Pass the checkpoints in order, but choose your own way between them. Dive through valleys, carve along mountain faces, launch over entire ridges, or risk a direct line through whatever the terrain throws at you. The fastest route is the one you can survive.
MASTER YOUR MOMENTUM
Every movement system is designed to work together:
Ski to remove ground friction and accelerate down slopes.
Carve across mountain faces without throwing away your speed.
Strafe-jump to build momentum across flatter ground.
Rocket-jump for explosive bursts of speed at the cost of health.
Jetpack to extend jumps, clear ridges, and aim for the perfect landing.
There is no vehicle and no fixed track. Your movement is the machine.
INFINITE POSSIBILITIES.
Every mountain is a vast 6 km × 6 km playground shaped from up to 7 distinct biomes. Carve through alpine snow, rolling meadows, flooded lakelands, red-rock mesas, sweeping dunes, glacial ice, and volcanic wastes, each introducing different terrain, hazards, and opportunities to gain speed.
Checkpoints tell you where to go, but never how to get there. Scout the landscape, discover faster routes, and return to your favorite mountains to perfect lines that once seemed impossible. The terrain, weather, and hazards reset with every attempt, so practice pays off and every race is fair.
Take on the full Ridge course, chase a quick finish in Sprint, or ride the shared daily mountain alongside the rest of the world. Each format has its own times, ghosts, medals, and global leaderboard.
THE MOUNTAIN FIGHTS BACK
Speed is only useful if you can stay alive. Thread through solid forests, avoid lava and crevasses, outrun hunter drones, destroy sentry turrets, dodge falling boulders, and decide whether dangerous weather is an obstacle or a shortcut.
Storm winds can bend your route. Snow squalls can erase your view. Thermal columns and geysers can launch you skyward if you enter them on the right line.
RACE THE CLOCK, GHOSTS, AND OTHER RIDERS
Chase personal bests and global seed leaderboards.
Race against your own best run or another rider’s ghost.
Study complete runs in the replay theater with first-person, follow, and free cameras.
See and talk to other riders exploring the same live seed.
Compete in live races, hunts, and random sprint rounds.
Prefer to ride alone? Every course, biome, hazard, ghost, and leaderboard challenge remains fully playable as a single-player experience.
LEARN THE LINE. SCRAP THE RUN. GO AGAIN.
Use the movement school to learn each mechanic, or enter practice mode to drill individual checkpoint legs. Death ends the attempt, but every crash teaches you something: a cleaner landing, a safer ridge, or a line nobody else has tried.
The mountain is waiting. Find the fastest way down.
