About the Game

An Answer to the Dream

"3 Worlds, each holding a clue to what brought you into the dream. Every step is an intuitive decision, a dreamlike wandering. You only know the dream, in which you will get closer to the self that has not yet been discovered. When light interacts with a surface, information is transmitted. It's yours to perceive."

RE:DREAM is a walking simulator in which the player discovers photographs connected to each character. This project is closely connected to photography and uses photogrammetry to bring real-life characters into the game. Every world was first built inside the game — then rebuilt in real life, as a set, to photograph each character within it. Through this, the game becomes a bridge: the characters step out of the dream and into our reality.

Disclaimer

This is an art project. It explores the game as a platform for presenting and experiencing photographs that were inspired by using the game itself as a tool for building worlds. Gameplay is as simple as it gets; the focus lies on worldbuilding.
