About the Game

Ravel the Frays is a sci-fi mystery puzzle game set aboard a generation ship drifting through space.
AILISH is the computer who runs the ship and predicts all future timelines to steer it. However she now foresees an unavoidable fate no matter what timeline she follows. She wants your help to sift through the possible futures, see if you can spot any possibility she missed that could avert disaster for the entire crew.

Featuring dialogue based puzzles, you will examine different scenes with AILISH.
Narrative scenes unfold in a visual novel style with hand drawn character art in a deep space setting. During a scene you’ll hit a break in the conversation with a puzzle to solve made of mixed up sentences.

You must rearrange the sentences into the correct order to continue the scene.
The lines themselves contain all your clues, as you puzzle out the thread of the dialogue. Some conversations can even be solved multiple ways, leading to a branch in the timeline as events diverge.

Once you have solved a full scene, you place it in the overall branching timeline.
Based on the context clues of when inciting events occur and what previous details are referenced within scenes. Over the course of the game you will assemble a complete map of possible futures and seek to find an ending that can lead everyone to safety.

That is, if you want to follow AILISH’s instructions.
