There are 24 racruits divided into 6 families. Each unit bears a name that begins with the syllable "Ra-". Their weapons and powers are directly derived from this. For example, the Rapier fights with rapiers, the Ragout cooks delicious meals to strengthen allies, and the Radioactive spreads a deadly gas.
Your enemies, the Cats, also draw their powers from their names, which begin with the syllable "Cha-", such as the Carpenter, the Shaman, or even the fearsome Chardasso!
