About the Game

The American Old West ushered in a new chapter in the timeless struggle between order and chaos. It was an age of rapid industrialization, telegraphs, and the iron horse; the locomotive. But alongside progress came lawlessness, depravity, and greed. As Lady Manifest Destiny stretched her hand across the frontier, her shadow followed close behind.

On May 10, 1869, the Transcontinental Railroad was completed at Promontory Summit, Utah, forever binding the nation from coast to coast. Yet this triumph also marked the height of the cowboy era; a time of gunfights, duels, bounty hunters, and infamous train robberies.

This is where our story begins.

RAILSHOT is a cinematic side-scrolling shoot-'em-up inspired by the iconic Spaghetti Westerns of the 1960-70s.

Play as a reformed gunslinger who once terrorized the American frontier. Seeking redemption for a violent past, you find yourself protecting a Transcontinental Railroad train from ruthless outlaws, merciless bounty hunters, and mysterious forces that lurk beyond the frontier. Every stop brings new dangers, and every victory carries you one step closer to justice.
