About the Game

The Ruler of an empire has abdicated his crown... To his murderer.

Thus, the Race to Ruler has begun!

Play as a leader of an army in this unit-focused roguelike deckbuilder by drafting and training units, summoning epic beings, defeating your rivals, and coming face-to-face with the Ruler himself.

Penguins and squirrels to dragons and demons! Recruit them to your ranks, then train a chosen few to their final forms. These beings, however different, work together to form unique strategies. Map out your path, enter bars, open chests and come across many other events to strengthen your army.

In Race to Ruler, your units are your key to victory. Enemies telegraph their attacks for their turn to 3 zones, and you must summon your units to them during your turn. Use battlefield tactics to exploit openings, execute synergies between your units, and launch satisfying cascades while buffing your squad mid-battle. Remember to utilize your keepsakes for additional strategies!

Some units, called Reserve units, provide powerful buffs for the rest of the battle once they're summoned- and transform the battlefield itself! Which ones will join you on your journey to become Ruler?
