R.override is a run-based exploration game in which you control a rover unit tasked with a rescue mission on an uncharted alien planet.
Your goal: follow the distress signal of a crashed spaceship and find its lost crew. The further you explore, the more you'll unravel a strange secret buried beneath the surface of this beautiful, hostile world.
Run-Based Exploration
Energy is a scarce resource in this unforgiving environment. Whenever your rover breaks down, a new unit is immediately dispatched from the mothership in orbit. Every breakdown is a fresh start, allowing you to deploy with new equipment and a better understanding of the planet's challenges.
A Vibrant Alien World Awaits
Master physics-based driving mechanics as you pilot the rover across a variety of terrains spanning four distinct biomes. Learn to navigate the planet’s flora and fauna, adapt your playstyle, and unlock permanent new drop points to continuously push further into the unknown.
Adapt and Upgrade
Scavenge blueprints to unlock new modules and customize your loadout with each new run. Equip your rover with tools like a grappling hook, deployable explosives, or a shield barrier. But be careful, because every modification costs precious energy, too.
Stylized Retro Sci-Fi
The art team behind the style of The Berlin Apartment pushes its signature comic-book aesthetics even further in this colorful, Moebius-inspired semi-open world full of secrets.
