“Quiet Dan” is a provocative work in the format of a visual novel, blurring the boundaries between ordinariness and existential crisis. The protagonist, Dan, a resident of suburban New York City, loses his job as a janitor and sinks into an abyss of loneliness, inner demons, and social injustice. His actions are contradictory and sometimes violent, making the narrative suspenseful and realistic.
Fully voiced one-man performance: the entire text of the novel is fully voiced and dictated on the fly, without subsequent edits, which gives the story liveliness and a sense of “raw” reality. This creates the effect of a theatrical monologue, where Dan's thoughts and dialogues sound as natural as possible
