Questy Chess

A unique chess-RPG-puzzle hybrid set inside a corrupted 90s computer. Battle an evil chess invasion across 24 handcrafted levels, purge glitched worlds and bosses, and restore the system. Minimal Bauhaus visuals and a deep drone soundtrack shape a tense, atmospheric journey.

About the Game

Questy Chess is a chess... RPG? puzzle? We're not sure, but it sure is, and isn't, regular Chess! Confused? You will be.

It's set in a fictional home computer, it has classic chess moves. Chess right? Well, add power ups, health, an inventory and puzzle levels to traverse, and some tricky enemies and achievements, it's something else... isn't it?

Questy Chess was originally launched with Playdate to critical acclaim, as part of Playdate Season 1. Now experience it on PC, Mac or Steamdeck! A must for Chess heads & lovers of minimal graphic design,
