About the Game

Primus Numen is a grid-based, turn-based dark fantasy tactical RPG where you will use a variety of classes, tactics, units and even monsters to succeed against intelligent creatures of legend.

You control a small party on grid-based maps, choosing how to move, who to target, and when to commit. Fights are designed to reward planning, with multiple routes to victory but things can turn quickly if you misread the situation.

Tactical combat

Battles play out on a grid where positioning matters.
Getting the right angle, controlling space, and setting up attacks is often the difference between winning cleanly or getting overwhelmed.

Evil Mode

Win the battle and unlock the option to play the battle again as the bad guys! Earn extra rewards for your main party this way.

The Nexus Beast

At key moments, you can join your party together to unleash the Nexus Beast.

It is powerful unit but will damage you party as the battle goes on. Will you continue with it for just one more turn at the risk of putting your party in grave danger when it disappears?

Class combinations

Combine 2 classes to play as a hybrid of them. A Rogue and a Mage will become a Shadow Wizard. A Knight and a Priest will become a Stalwart Cleric. Use both classes' sets of skills, but beware that your unit's stats will be based on just one of them.

You can build around:

  • heavy frontline pressure

  • ranged damage

  • control and setup

  • or balanced teams built around adaptability

There isn’t one “correct” setup - it’s about what works for you.

Enemies

Enemies are not just damage sponges. Intelligent enemy AI will push you to adjust how you play - some force you to reposition, others punish mistakes, and some need to be dealt with quickly before they escalate.
