The Horizon has broken. The Axis has shattered.
Welcome to Aethel-Hearth — a world torn into floating vertical tiers. The old animals are gone, replaced by volatile Elemental Echoes who have forgotten their bonds with humanity.
You are a Field Researcher. Your weapon is not a sword, but the copper-wired Codex. Leave Hearth Town, fight wild spirits in real-time combat, earn their trust, and bring eggs back to the Hatchery. Gather herbs, ore, and fish; cook, brew, and smith at town stations; breed rare bloodlines in the Kennel; and chart the tiers until the Codex is complete.
Real-time field combat — dual timers, three abilities, elemental matchups, meals and restoratives
Catch and catalog hundreds of spirits — duplicates shatter to Embers; new species advance your Bonding research
Hatchery, Kennel, and Pet Bank — warm eggs, run breeding unions, build your roster
Eight trainer skills — cooking, herbalism, fishing, mining, breeding, bonding, smithing, alchemy
Town progression — unlock station tiers, master recipes, and late-game legendary breeding chains
Personal journal and field archive — story beats unlock as you explore
Music-only audio by design — no gameplay sound effects
Single-player — progress saves locally & Saves sync through Steam Cloud when you have Steam Cloud enabled for this game.
Primal Axis is built to be finished. The intended end is Grand Horizon at a full Codex — roughly months of comfortable play, not a live-service treadmill. No daily rewards, no seasons, no post-cap grind bar.
The full game requires a new save. Not compatible with the free demo.
