About the Game

Plague Lords is a turn-based tactical RPG set in an open world, featuring settlement building, exploration, and survival elements.

  • Transform your small camp into a thriving city.
  • Assemble a squad of soldiers with unique characteristics and train them into a disciplined army.
  • Cleanse the plague-infested barony and uncover the cause of the infection.

Welcome to the mid-14th century!
The Black Death is at its peak, and entire cities are deserted and dying. A scout squad is sent to find a missing noble, turning their investigation into a new, strange infection.

The few survivors hide in the ruins of cities and monasteries, awaiting their inevitable fate. Scouts must turn frightened townsfolk into an army capable of resisting and uncover the reasons behind the mysterious epidemic.

Train leaders, specialists, and warriors.
Warriors aren't recruited in barracks for gold but are leveled up through battles. However, remember that you lose characters permanently due to injuries, infections, or fatal wounds. Losing each one is a tangible blow to the settlement's safety.

Each character can wield a construction hammer, bow, or heavy sword, but only if their skills allow it. They can learn as many skills as their intellect allows. Some work in the fields, while others lead warriors in battle or construct fortifications.

Develop your base and craft equipment.
The plague has put an end to trade and science, but you can always rely on your builders and craftsmen.
Develop their skills and learn to construct dozens of different buildings to create equipment and weapons that will help you survive.
You start with a small tent camp, but over time, the city will grow and develop into a real town with walls, numerous production buildings, and defensive structures.

  • The sandbox world is fully open and regenerated with each new game.
  • Explore abandoned cities, farms, monasteries, and fortresses.
  • Find loot, characters, or interesting events while inspecting abandoned buildings.
  • Develop your small military camp into a real town with walls, towers, patrols, and guard shifts.
  • 40 different buildings provide your settlement with everything it needs for protection and development.
  • Build fences, walls, barricades, and set traps to defend against the plague's invasions.
  • 30 professions, from peasants and lumberjacks to engineers and commanders.
  • Infected characters gain unprecedented advantages but can turn and attack at any moment.
  • Characters need to eat, drink, and sometimes sleep to restore morale and strength.
  • Day and night cycles directly affect gameplay, and you'll need to stock up on torches to see a bit further.
