Pistols at Dawn

This unique tactical turn-based pistol dueling game makes you balance your aim by placing numbered tokens around a circle. Don't just focus on your own crosshairs, you'll be just as dead if your enemy hits their mark! Shoot your way through a dramatic story that would cause Jane Austen to swoon.

About the Game

"Do you insult me, sir? I shall not stand for it!" A man's dignity shall not be impugned, and the only recourse is a battle of… the mind? Gunfighting is a game of perfect balance, so use your brain to set your aim by positioning numbered tokens around a circle. Use special actions to turn the tide, and when there are no options left– FIRE!

Why would you risk your life in a duel? The unfolding story gives you so many excellent reasons to pick up your flintlock that you might forgive some of the poorer reasons. Jilted loves, pride, being down-on-your-luck, greed– you’ll experience them all.

Key Features:

  • Shift your crosshair over the enemy by placing the numbered tokens in the right direction. You'd better have room to get that token where you need it!

  • Move your enemy's crosshairs away from you; if they hit their target, that's a loss too.

  • Use the coins you earn to buy special actions in the shop. Lay traps, push the opponent away, or double the value of tokens. These are all ways to get out of trouble.

  • You'll get access to more powers as you play through the delightfully silly single-player story. Someone watched too much Blackadder growing up.

  • You can also pass-and-play in a simple local multiplayer mode—it's quite a challenging duel for two players.

Originally made for iOS, Pistols at Dawn was too good to keep on the shelf. Now brought back to life on Steam, you can experience a fully original game by a crackpot developer who wants nothing more than to make you smile.
