About the Game

Patchwork Path is a cozy point-and-click puzzle adventure set inside a living quilt, made by a two-person grandmother and grandson team.

Every room started as real fabric stitched by my grandmother. I photographed her quilt work and brought it into the game as an explorable world filled with hidden objects, clever mechanisms, quiet (and sometimes not so quiet) puzzles, and small handcrafted surprises tucked between the seams.

Patchwork Path is supposed to be a relaxing, story/picture book-like adventure. When I was brainstorming the initial concepts for the game, I saw a Reddit post where someone asked "What's the most warm, stress free game you can think of?". I wanted to team up with my grandmother to try to give an answer to that question and we quickly began working on the game.

Move between quilt patches, collect items, solve puzzles, and learn the personalities and memories of the family whose story is stitched into each patch.

A kind and helpful patchwork companion (cat or dog, your choice!) travels with you, guiding you through the puzzling threads while joyfully telling the story of their family and occasionally dropping some deep insight.

                                                                                         

 

While making Patchwork Path, we always tried to steer it in a direction that would make the player feel like they were a young child, seeing a wonderful story book for the first time.

  

IN PATCHWORK PATH YOU WILL

  • Explore a handmade Quilt world.

  • Hear soft stories and tender tidbits about the family whose memories are stitched into the seams.

  • Solve gentle mechanical, logic, and classic point-and-click style puzzles.

  • Choose a Cat or Dog companion to guide you and fill you in on the Quilt's many memories.

  • Collect items, trinkets, and doodads to aid you along the Path.

  • Relax, slow down, and take gaming at a different, cozier, quiltier pace.
