Is Everything You See Real?
You are alone in the pitch-black night, amidst a deafening storm. Your goal is not merely to survive in this forest, but to unearth a forgotten secret hidden within abandoned territories. Yet, this forest is no ordinary place. Amidst the trees and the shadows of the rocks, you will see faces staring back at you. Are they merely illusions, or harbingers of the true horror stalking you?
Pareidolia is an atmospheric survival game that blends psychological horror with detective mechanics. Preserve your sanity, gather clues, and evade the hunter on your trail.
Gather Evidence and Piece Together the Truth
In your tent—your only safe haven—assemble the findings you have collected. Examine the photographs you’ve taken and the notes you’ve discovered on a massive, interactive evidence board. Map out your own theories using blood-red strings stretched between clues and piece together the story.
The Horror Behind the Lens
Your most vital tool for navigating the darkness is an old camera. Gather evidence by photographing anomalies deep within the forest. If you cannot escape an approaching threat, use the camera’s flash to momentarily blind it and buy yourself time to flee.
Preserve Your Sanity
Spending too long in the darkness or getting too close to the monster will shatter your mind. Your vision blurs, your heart races, and the sounds of the forest become distorted. Suppress panic and maintain your lucidity by strategically using your limited supply of pills. If your mind collapses, your body will follow.
