Paranormal Home Invaders is a survival horror game where you must disturb haunted residents peaceful rest in order to make your pay-check. The game takes influence from games such as Phasmophobia, and presents itself as a satirical demake of the the ghost hunting genre. In spite of this, it is a very scary game.
Your task as a newly appointed ghost hunter is to track down the source of ghostly activity and its nature in reported locations. In order to figure out what your up against you must use find signs of paranormal evidence, using your arsenal of ghost hunting tools.
Using the Thermostat, you can search for rooms with freezing temperatures, and find
the room the ghost dwells in most often.
A D.O.T.S Projector allows you to see the ghost while in its resting state.
The Spirit Box allows you to communicate with ghosts, though some are shy and will not want to talk to you.
Along with these and many more equipment used to gather evidence, there is a plethora of equipment at your disposal, that will ease the challenge of trying to face the undead.
Smoking Incense while in proximity to a ghost will momentarily weaken it, and prevent it from attacking you.
Motion Sensors and Salt are useful additions for tracking the ghosts position and collecting UV evidence.
Firelights when lit will stop ghosts from taking a large toll on your wellbeing, even it's only by a little bit.
Finding what type of ghost you're up against isn't as easy as just finding sources of paranormal evidence, as ghosts don't always want to make themselves too obvious. Each ghost with their set of primary evidence has their own unique secondary evidence that come with diverse personalities.
Wraiths hate getting their feet dirty, so they developed the ability to float, allowing them to avoid salt piles on the ground.
Banshees are very affectionate, and will spend much more time stalking their victims.
Hantus are powered by the temperature of their environment, thriving in cold rooms.
These along with the other ghost types, adds up to a total of 24 unique ghost types that you can find in your investigations.
