PALMIER ISLAND is a cozy island RPG sim that tricks you into learning French through pure play and no curriculum.
Plot: The economy is in shambles, and you're fresh outta college with no job and no prospects, so you fly to your millionaire uncle's island to catsit for the summer. However, when you arrive, you find out that all the islanders only speak French and you have to pay off your missing uncle's debt! Start a cafe, run a farm, fight demons in a school basement, go to court, and more as you discover each islander's lore and leave the island semi-fluent!
Core Gameplay Mechanic: Learn French through our core gameplay mechanic, Chattle, which is like a Pokemon battle where your words are Pokemon. You capture words from the Chattle into your vocabulary to navigate each conversational puzzle.
Minigames: Test your guessing skills through multiple minigames, such as shopping with only French labels, baking treats by recognizing vocabulary, and exploring alternative Chattle routes.
