About the Game

Read the realm. Shape the frontier. Break the rival capital.

Palisade is a fast single-player territorial strategy game played directly on geographically recognizable historical maps. Establish your capital, claim open land, develop roads and buildings, then commit armies where the frontier can support them.

Every order is visible on the battlefield. Follow advancing troop arrows, compare rival strength in the expanded standings, and watch borders shift as major and petty realms compete for the same ground.

Build a realm that can sustain a war

  • Place and upgrade settlements, castles, and marketplaces.

  • Connect structures with roads to strengthen your economy and troop capacity.

  • Draw Palisades across owned land to reinforce key approaches and stop cavalry.

  • Read terrain, coastlines, resources, and active fronts before committing.

Choose how to cross the frontier

Launch ordinary land campaigns, carve a fast corridor with Cavalry Charge, or plot a Naval Landing across open water. Routes and risks are previewed before you commit, while rival capitals turn the final advance into a fight for a lasting foothold.

Fight a global anthology

Lead five compact campaigns across sixteen scenarios: Northern Saga, Yellow Turban Rising, The Genpei War, Atlantic Voyage, and The Triple Alliance. Each campaign uses distinct geography, objectives, local realm layouts, and legacy choices while preserving the same readable core rules.

Build your own battle in Skirmish, or return for a deterministic Daily Chronicle generated from the date. Palisade is designed as a complete single-player strategy game; multiplayer is not included at launch. Palisade uses historical geography and carefully sourced regional context as a setting for an original strategy game. It does not claim to simulate every event, polity, or border at documentary scale.
