About the Game

The prestigious game studio Frank works on has always run on deadlines and late nights. The game is a month off from release, and everyone's used to the grind by now. Until recently... A hidden microphone close to the bosses desk. A tracking device under a car. One by one, all signs pile up that someone outside the company wants in, and every time it seems handled, something proves it isn't.

As Frank, a core developer for the game studio, you'll spend five increasingly tense nights finishing the final build. Coding, fixing bugs, encrypting files, running the same errands you've run a hundred times before. Around you, the office empties out, one by one your co-workers stop coming to the office because of the fear of being stalked. But the stalker thinks differently.

He doesn't think of it as stalking.

He thinks of it as being close to something he loves.

That's the part that should put you on edge.

The deadline doesn't care what's happening around you.

Sit down at your desk and run through multiple tasks every night. Write codes, fixing bugs, encrypting files, creating cover arts. Nothing is difficult. The same routine, night after night, while the office around it keeps getting quieter, the boss keeps calling about the same deadline no matter what happens, and more than once you'll swear something's standing just outside the light of your monitor and you keep typing anyway, because the build isn't going to finish itself.

Tap in and listen to their cries of being stalked.

Take a break, grab a coffee, and catch up with whoever is still around. Some laugh it off as an office rumor. Some swear they've seen someone watching from the parking lot. Some have already stopped coming in. Every conversation is a chance to compare notes. And a quiet reminder that there's one less person to have them with, every single night.

Every choice adds up, whether you notice it or not..

Report what you see, or keep it to yourself. Stay until sunrise, or decide it isn't worth it. None of these choices disappear once the night is over. Overtime: Development Hell has more than one ending, and how far you're willing to go to finish it decides which one you get.
