Long after Ragnarök, the war that killed the old gods, the land is ruled by an evil dragon. Legend speaks of a phoenix that is supposed to rise, challenge, and defeat the dragon, thus establishing a new era of peace. Yet fulfillment of the prophecy is long overdue, and evil corrupts the land.
The village of Wildeburn has long been under threat from the dragon and his minions. Many heroes left, intending to vanquish him. None have returned.
A young woman named Runa must find a way to defeat him, or she and her village will be lost to the annals of time. But what can she do that countless heroes before her could not? What happened to them? Was the prophecy false? Where is the long-anticipated phoenix? Can anything stop the dragon?

Out of the Ashes is a third person, semi-open world, story-driven adventure game set in the Viking era. Play as Runa as she wields a sword, learns magic, and discovers the one weapon that can stop the dragon.
