Oust is an asymmetrical side scrolling platformer game that blends strategy, rpg, and pvp elements into a beautiful, easy-to-pick-up game. All players spawn into the beautiful, procedurally-generated world as peasants with the goal of taking the crown to become king for the longest amount of time. As a peasant, you must find equipment, construct siege weapons, and gather support to overthrow the king. As king, enlist guards and build fortifications to remain in power.
All players begin the game as a peasant. As a peasant, you must take the crown by force. Cast unique spells, start revolts, recruit mercenaries, purchase equipment, and explore ruins for rare items all to overthrow the crown.
When king, keep the crown at all costs from others trying to overthrow you. Enlist knights to keep order, massacre revolts, tax peasants, and construct walls for defense.
Do everything you can to survive in the unforgiving, procedurally generated world. Construct buildings, craft weapons, and fend off animals.
