About the Game

Our Dark Heart is a 2D top-down pixel art narrative horror adventure game that draws inspiration from Alan Wake, Firewatch, and the works of Mike Flanagan. Explore a beautiful, handcrafted estate laced with themes of grief, loss, and trauma.

STORY

Tormented by the death of her mother, Beverly returns to her childhood home to ready it for resale. In the process she finds a letter from her mother that stirs things long buried and forgotten.

“Hello, Luv. I’m sorry I hid my illness from you. I didn't want to burden you with it. I love you so much, and I didn’t want you to face this alone, but life is unfair. I tried to protect you…Take the key. You know what it opens. Purge our home of the past, Luv. Be strong. You’re almost free.”

GAMEPLAY
