About the Game

The World

The world of Orbfall takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth ruled by an alien invasion force. According to reports from active scouts, the aliens have completely devastated Europe. Entire cities and villages have been erased as if they had never existed.

Most survivors live hidden underground, hoping for salvation from the resistance fighters operating on the surface. To avoid detection by the alien swarm, they are constantly on the move, never staying in one place for too long.

(The story for the single-player campaign is currently still being developed. More information about the narrative will be revealed during development.)

Gameplay

The game offers a variety of roles and responsibilities for players to choose from. These are unlocked over time and provide different ways to play. In single-player mode or private sessions, players can take on smaller, customizable missions. The online multiplayer mode focuses on massive maps that expand with every successful conquest. An integrated proximity voice chat system allows players to communicate naturally during missions.

Orbfall combines cooperative vehicle combat, base building, and resource management in large-scale online operations.

The Reclaim Earth Campaign

This campaign is exclusively available online through public lobbies.

Communication between players is crucial in this game mode. Every mission begins with nothing more than a headquarters and a limited amount of starting resources, depending on the selected difficulty.

There are currently four primary roles:

Architect (A)
Builds and maintains the main base and heavily fortified outposts.

Supply Technician (ST)
Constructs production facilities and manages the economy and resource flow.

Interception Specialist (IS)
Captures and secures strategic objectives while deploying light defensive structures.

Combat Specialist (CS)
Operates heavy land, air, and naval vehicles to destroy alien nests and strongholds.

Additional roles will be introduced over time.
(As of June 21, 2026, four additional roles are planned for future updates.)

Additional Gameplay Features

Optimizable Buildings

Is your artillery firing too slowly? Is your minigun turret consuming too much ammunition? No problem.

Every building, including production facilities, can be customized using modules. Supply Technicians and Architects can fine-tune performance, efficiency, and stability to adapt their infrastructure and defenses to the current battlefield situation.

However, caution is advised. Overloaded, overheated, or damaged modules can lead to serious consequences.

Players who prefer not to manage every detail can leave optimization entirely to the integrated assistant. It operates all structures automatically and safely, although not always at maximum efficiency.

Customizable Vehicles

Every land, air, and naval vehicle can be modified.

Before construction, a light vehicle can be configured as either a troop transport or a fast attack tank.

Have too many air transports? No problem. Even after assembly, vehicles can be returned to the factory and converted into different variants, such as bombers. Just make sure your resources don't run out.

Dynamic Missions

At the start of every mission, the playable area is relatively small. As players advance and secure more territory, the map expands, allowing additional players to join the operation.

Random events can dramatically alter the course of a mission and push even experienced teams to their limits.

After all, who said reclaiming Earth would be easy? 🤨

The Community

Orbfall is being developed by only myself. While the final direction of the game ultimately remains in my hands, the community plays an important role in shaping its future.

Your ideas, suggestions, and feedback help improve the experience and influence ongoing development. I always enjoy hearing from players and discussing new concepts, improvements, and possibilities for the game.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
