Pachinko
An arcade game originating from Japan and is similar to slot machines in the west. Balls are launched into a playing field and fall through a series of pins and catchers. The goal is to land balls in the catchers, which will trigger a win condition. Any balls that do not fall into a catcher will be lost and no win condition will be triggered
Plinko
First appearing on a game show in America in 1983, Plinko soon becoming one of the more well known games on the show. The goal in Plinko is to release a ball above a playing field, made of pins arranged in an offset pattern, and have the ball land within a targeted slot at the base of the playing field. These slots will allocated a unique score or prize
Pinball
The spring plunger was invented in the 1870s, as an improvement on another game, Bagatelle. But it wasn't until the late 1940s that Flippers became a normal inclusion, thus we have what we know of as Pinball today. The spring launcher is used to launch a ball into a playing field, filled with pins, tricks, bumpers and flippers. The flippers are used to catch and relaunch the ball back through the assortment of obstacles. Different obstacles may add to the players score or obstruct the balls path to doing so. If more than a limited number of balls is dropped falling into the catcher at the base, the game ends.
