About the Game

Of Dead Earth is a student project developed in Unreal Engine 5 as a part of the year-long Diploma of Information Technology: Game Art and Design, Game Programming at Swinburne University of Technology. Each class group becomes a development team working on a single game project, from conception all the way to public release.

Challenge the Storm

Of Dead Earth is a short third-person experiential thriller set in the crippled Australian outback town of Damara during a monstrous duststorm, and there's a pyscho roaming the streets with a rifle.

The power is out, and the streets are in chaos. You play as Sarah, a retired ambulance driver, and you must find your terminally ill aunt before anything dire happens.
Little does she know, something much worse awaits Sarah in the swirling dust engulfing Damara...something virulent.

Sneak your way through the town, avoid making noise, and locate your aunt before the psycho does - because some grudges can only be resolved in blood, some infections can never be cleansed, and some hungers can never be quenched, even if they devour themselves.
