About the Game

Nimblehold is a cozy mapmaking tool for building animated tabletop maps.

Draw it, and watch it come alive.

Making a map look finished usually means hours of clean-up after the fun part is already done. Nimblehold skips that part. Light, shadow, and detail happen on their own, so you can spend your time shaping the place instead of polishing it.

Build by hand

Draw a wall freehand and it becomes a building. Want something rounder? Try the oval tool instead. Pull a building taller or shorter and its shadow shifts right along with it, so it always looks like it's really standing there.

Color it your way

Select a whole group and give it a new coat of color all at once, or pick out one piece on its own and change just that.

Roads that find their way

Draw a road toward a river and a bridge shows up on its own, sand path and all. Nudge the curve, swap the bridge style, make it yours.

Banks that fit your map

Grass, sand, or stone - change the edge of your river with a click until it looks right.

Hills that talk to the water

Draw a hill next to a river and a waterfall appears, feeding right into the water below. Erase the middle and you're left with two hills and a stream running between them; no clean-up needed!

Build a whole region

Fill a village with houses, then bring in a different pack of art and build the town next door. More packs mean more kinds of places to build.
