Immerse yourself in an unforgiving world filled with mysteries and anomalies as you are trying to uncover the cause that is pushing humanity to the brink of extinction.
Exploration
Take on several non-linear maps with different insertion and extraction points with whatever play style you prefer, ranging from guns blazing to a more stealth-based approach. Beware that hostile NPCs, both human and anomalous entities, are roaming around. These environments will also feature a unique set of anomalous hazards (spatial, temporal, psychological, etc.), that you will need to navigate around or bring specialised equipment to take care of.
A keen eye and curiosity will be rewarded with rare items and additional lore pieces that help flesh out the world.
Looting
Find, stash and use hundreds of items, mostly based on real-life counterparts. From everyday consumables, through military equipment, to unique anomalous materials are all up for grabs. Granted, you can make it back to base safely.
Combat
With in-depth ballistics, detailed weapon handling, and a full-body health system, each encounter will feel different. Bullets can penetrate objects and limbs; they can ricochet off surfaces and have realistic trajectories.
Weapon Customization
Each gun is made up of individual parts that can be put together and customised to fit your needs based on the mission parameters. Choosing the right ammo type and attachments for your weapon will take up a central role in preparing for tackling challenges.
Crafting & Gathering
Use scavenged items to craft better gear or break them down into components that can be used in the creation of other equipment. Rare anomalous materials gathered from entities will help you make equipment that can transcend death and remain in your possession even after perishing.
Endgame
If you are ready to take on even greater challenges, the game will feature dungeon/raid-like activities that will see you face off against entities beyond human comprehension and mechanics that will test your problem-solving skills under pressure. If you can triumph, the very best of equipment and items will be your reward.
