About the Game

NIGHTBANE is a dark fantasy action roguelike. 

STORY

Seeking to solve the mystery behind your revival, you are forced to trace the steps of the one responsible for your death. Reaching Dracula is no easy matter. Having had the time to solidify his rule over the years while your consciousness lingered outside the mortal world, you are now confronted by an army of night creatures and unsavory characters that curry the favour of their dark lord. Vlad Tepes is the final goal, yet your effort is just begining.

THE WORLD

Explore multiple paths and biomes through a hand-crafted, dark, medieval world inspired by folklore.

  • Each run is different - choose your skills and fight the many minions of darkness that block your path

  • Explore the world - find Chests that reward currency, Shrines that grant boons and Challenges that, if defeated, yield great power

  • Inspired by Romanian and Eastern-European folklore, the places and the enemies you face will reflect that influence

COMBAT

Play in singleplayer or with a friend, in 2 player Co-op. Discover unique Abilities, upgrade your Attributes and make use of the weapons in your arsenal to defeat your enemies.

Build Diversity

  • Mix and match Augments and Passives to alter the way your Skills work.

  • Select a unique Weapon set to further enhance your build.

  • Unlock Enchants to improve synergy between Skills and Weapon Abilities. Make use of the passive effect on your Weapons or activate the Enchant to receive a new set of Abilities for a limited time.

  • Choose Temperings that improve your Attributes and enhance your build.

Enemies

  • Face off against a wide variety of enemies of varying difficulty

  • Bosses lie in wait, preventing you from advancing to the next area, unless you defeat them

  • Each biome features challenges and enemies that block your path
