About the Game

F4stTurt13 is a grey hat, earning a living by completing bug bounties. He hasn’t left his apartment in years. Unexpectedly, he’ll find himself in the midst of conspiracies and on a dangerous path to uncover the truth.

World: In 2032 a large-scale natural disaster ravaged the entire world. It took years for mankind to recover, and two large opposing “countries” were formed in the aftermath. This story is set in the Eastern Alliance of Democracies, comprising Eurasia and Eastern Africa.

Tech: Due to government policies, the computing power of devices personally owned can’t exceed 1GFLOP. However, an illegal tool, named NeuralNet Jack, was developed and allowed to use the human brain as a “CPU”.

Net: The content available on the net is heavily censored, leading to the creation of an alternative distributed network, called ShadowNet. Its use is considered a crime, but a sizable part of the population (25-30%) access it daily. The main contributors to the Snet infrastructure and code are members of the Neon Knights Collective.

Night Hacking is, mostly, an interactive story narrated through chats, files, and websites

The hacking process is guided / simple and includes a few “minigames”

7 - 10 hours of content depending on your reading speed and interest in “side” content

There are a few decisions that will impact the ending

Note: saving happens only at the end of each level. (Demo progress carries over)
