But a personal tragedy forces you to return to the afterlife. In a world torn by eternal conflict, you must confront the past and uncover the mystery that brought you back.

Journey through the afterlife across three distinct biomes, each with its own visual identity, soundtrack, lore, enemies, and combat encounters.

• The Cathedral of Final Light: The gateway between the living and the dead. Once the stronghold of the Nephelem Order, it now stands corrupted by an unknown force.

• The Crucible: A realm once meant for reflection, where souls contemplated their lives before moving on. Now, it is a fractured battlefield, torn by an eternal war.

As a former Nephelem warrior, you wield a powerful and diverse arsenal designed to support a wide range of playstyles. Choose a primary and secondary weapon, each with distinct mechanics, and equip powerful abilities to shape your strategy for every run.

Throughout your journey, you’ll unlock new weapons, enhance them using materials found in the afterlife, and face ever-growing challenges that test your mastery. Whether you favor fast-paced aggression, calculated defense, or long-range control, Nephelem empowers you to fight your way.

As you uncover lost knowledge from the Nephelem Order, you'll gain access to Virtues: powerful modifiers that dramatically shape your build each run.

Each Virtue category influences your character in distinct and meaningful ways, encouraging new strategies and creating unique synergies. No two runs will ever feel the same!

But beware: the deeper you lean into certain choices, the more you're tempted by Vices. These twisted reflections of Virtues may offer seductive power, but always come with a cost.

Each run in Nephelem takes you through a sequence of handcrafted areas, selected at random to create fresh challenges and encounters every time you play. The layout, enemies, and rewards shift, encouraging adaptation and experimentation towards victory.
