About the Game

Nobody at the table is safe.

One of you is The Thing. Others may already be infected. Read the room, lie convincingly and watch every card that changes hands — a mandatory exchange can spread the infection without anyone seeing what changed.

NECHTO is a social-deduction card game for 4–12 players that turns one shared screen and private phones into a tense table of accusations. The game handles the roles, hands, turns and rules. Your group handles the bluffing.

One shared screen. Every hand stays secret.

Run NECHTO on a PC or laptop and put it on the biggest screen in the room. Players scan the QR code and use their phones as private controllers: only you can see your role, cards and decisions. No phone app, account or registration is required.

Play together — in one room or across several

Same room: one Steam copy and one PC are enough. Every phone connects to that PC through the same Wi-Fi network.

Remote groups: each location needs its own Steam copy running on a PC. Join the same room with the 4-character code or a Steam invitation, then connect the phones at each location to their local PC.

Connection note: the QR/IP address is local to the host PC. A phone must be on the same Wi-Fi; a remote browser or 4G/5G connection cannot open that local address directly.

Every turn has three phases:

• DRAWS A CARD — take the top card from the deck. Drew a PANIC card? It plays immediately.

• PLAYS — play an action card or discard.

• EXCHANGES — mandatory. Pass a card to your neighbour. This is exactly how The Thing spreads infection.

Three types of cards

Actions — FLAMETHROWER, QUARANTINE, ANALYSIS, TEMPTATION, SHIP'S LOG and 9 more. Each one shifts the balance.

Defense — reaction to someone else's turn. NO THANKS, MISSED ME, FEAR, NO BARBECUE — play it before it's too late.

Panic — drawn instead of a regular card and plays immediately. Can't discard. Can't defend. CHAIN REACTION, OLD

ROPES, FORGETFULNESS — 12 cards of pure chaos.
