Clara is doing everything she can to stay emotionally stable. But something is hunting her, and every place she walks through seems to know what she still refuses to understand.

This is a game about the emotions we're usually told to push away.

murmures is a narrative exploration game where every action can become an inner struggle. Searching a locker, watching TV, opening a door, or petting a cat: Clara moves through ordinary places, but something keeps appearing, following her, and distorting her perception of what is happening.

Explore places filled with whispers

A swimming pool, a parking lot, a park, a neighbourhood, a house: each place carries its own tensions, shadows, sounds and memories. These places do not tell you everything directly. They suggest things and give them meaning. Pay attention.

An intimate and strange journey

Between fragile realism, administrative absurdity and metaphorical threats, murmures is about what we try to hold inside, and what we think we are supposed to feel when we are trying to be okay, or simply better.

Roll your d20s

To move forward, collect actions and assign them to d20s. A roll can help Clara understand what she is going through, or it can fail, but it never brings everything to a stop.

Actions are resolved with twenty-sided dice. Each result changes what Clara manages to do and what she understands.

Move forward without fighting

There is no combat and no brutal game over: only choices, attempts, fragments to put together, and the same question coming back again and again: what is really chasing her? What is she running from?

murmures is a slow, narrative and contemplative game. You explore, observe, search and listen as you follow Clara in her attempt to find a way out.
