About the Game

Mota Must Die.

In Mota Must Die, a short (~30 minute) psychological horror visual novel, you return to a quiet rural hometown alongside childhood friends Sei and Mota. What begins as a nostalgic trip quickly takes a darker turn when an unexpected detour leads somewhere far more deliberate...

“Listen to me… Mota is a murderer.”

Years earlier, Reno’s younger sister Mima was killed in a case that was never solved. Over time, suspicion has quietly settled on Mota... an emotionally distant friend who shared an ambiguous bond with her before her death.

How Do You Live Without Answers?

Reno is a grieving brother who never found closure. What begins as doubt slowly hardens into belief as contradictions surface and pressure builds.

What Really Happened to Mima?

Fragments of memory, emotion, and buried tension begin to surface... Mota’s words reveal something intimate, unsettling...

What Does it Take to Kill?

A decision must be made. Mota must die.
