Stay tactical and build your own perfect squad of characters with unique combat resources and abilities. Order your monk to perform a water tornado axel or make the bandit spin a magical roulette, there are so many powers for you to discover!
Boost your attacks!
Use Boost Points to enhance your skills and watch out for unique effects! Many of them gain special properties when boosted, so use them to your full advantage. A resurrection spell that generates Boost Points? Yes, please!
Master your skills!
Study your characters' skill trees to learn new tricks and upgrade your innate abilities with Crests - magical emblems with the power to transform your characters into something completely new! Gain Class Mastery Points by defeating enemies and prepare for more playtime, for you to test out all your new tricks in battle! From Earth shattering blows to wind powered barrages of arrows, what will you choose next?
Explore a beautiful world!
Wander the beautiful planes of Mortis and explore all six Guilds to learn the stories of your party members and bond with them. But be prepared to fight for the freedom of this world in a climactic race against the Grand Demons... Remember, the fate of Mortis now rests solely on your shoulders, and with multiple storylines and endings, your decisions will affect your journey, and your destination!
You won't be the only one with tricks up your sleeve!
Most enemies have their own unique abilities, and some will even turn into Leaders, mini-boss versions of each enemy with special signature powers! Stay alert and make sure you use every bit of information at your disposal, as even the smallest mistake can derail your journey.
Want a more casual or challenging experience?
Choose one of four difficulty modes at the start of your save file. It's fine if you want to enjoy the story without worrying too much about the fights, or if you want to grind the hell out of every dungeon to progress! Tale of Cowardice is thought for experienced JRPG players and newbies alike!

Fear not, the fateful battle from the Kickstarter demo will soon be making its second appearance in the full game! Evander's family will be waiting for him to return from a new journey, so you must hurry!
