About the Game

Fighting game with cards!

Mixed Martial Cards is an upcoming 1v1 strategy card game, where you can fight against tough opponents in the single player mode or you can challenge your friend to a duel in a multiplayer lobby.

Since it's a mixed martial arts based card game, you will fight with your deck. The deck might include jabs, roundhouse kicks, takedowns, arm bars and other iconic MMA moves. On the defense side, you can fortify your deck with dodges, slips, blocks and counters.

Speaking of decks, you can build your own personalized deck matching your preferred fighting style!

The full release of the game will include:

  • 120 cards

  • 24+ perks

  • 15+ different coach strategies and actions to help you out in a tough spot.

Mind games and tactics!

Like in a real fight, you need to use your smarts to get the upper hand during a match. As you familiarize yourself with your opponent's move sets, you can try to exploit their weaknesses.

A core mechanic in MMC are attack modes. It means, that your attack can be a normal attack, a mighty full-power attack or a sneaky feint. And the opponent won't know which one it is, until it's too late! Clever strategies allows you to bypass the opponent's guard and land those impactful big damage attacks.

Figuring out when and how to invest your limited card and stamina resources is the key to victory - and it all depends on your opponent's thinking, mood and ultimately their deck.

A typical match takes 20 to 40 minutes, depending on how even the match-up is.

Playtesting

We welcome anyone to come and playtest our game, so we can revise and polish it to be as good as possible! You can join our Discord server to connect with other gamers to play together (Discord link will be found in game)! 

Playtest version of the game does not include grappling, which will be a significant part of the game in the full release.

During the playtest, there will be fewer cards, perks and strategies to play with, as we focus on certain parts of the game first.

Public playtesting is now open (starting May 2026). See you in the ring!
